Tile redi pans are a great time saver, but they require light plumbing and framing skills and a heap of common sense. They are pre-sloped, so make sure your floor is level before installing. The integrated drains are usually ABS(black), if you are attaching to PVC(white) you will need green glue. The drain cover is not replaceable with what's on the shelf at your box store, and the design of the bottom for adhering to mudbed could have channels to distribute mud better. They are not thinset, so use a self leveling concrete for the bed.
