The Carolina Midnight Loropetalum is an exceptionally dark leaved evergreen shrub with deep burgundy rounded foliage that blooms will frilly red flowers in Spring. New leaves when first emerges they will have a reddish maroon hue, that will darken with maturity. This Loropetalum is a great selection for planting hedges, foundations, accents or Mid-Sized screens. When planting this Loropetalum, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball a half inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in Spring. This plant will ship dormant in Winter and is not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival. ---------- This item includes one 2.5 Gallon Carolina Midnight Loropetalum (live plant) in plastic pots with soil. The pots will be wrapped in a poly bag to retain moisture and hold any soil that shakes lose in shipping. The plant will be shipped in a cardboard box that has been designed to hold the plant in place to reduce any chance of damage in transit.
