The fruit is quite pretty, varying in degrees of ribbing & color, with shades of deep maroons & purples to nearly black, with the coloration being darker in hotter, sunnier conditions. The beefsteak type tomatoes are large at 4 - 8" across & weighing in at 10 - 16 oz up to 1 1/2 pounds each. Black Krim tomatoes are sweet & juicy, have low acidity, & a very good flavor that is all its own. Many who have tried this heirloom rank it amongst their very favorites & would not miss a season without them. The strong plants produce a good yield, & are very heat tolerant. Tomatoes have a wide variety of health benefits. They are high in the antioxidant lycopene, & contain high amounts of vitamins A, B, & C as well as many other vitamins & minerals.
