Current Tree Condition - Conditions may be different where you are, but it is currently EARLY SPRING in Eastern Kentucky. The tree you receive has been grown outside, not in a greenhouse, and it is still beautiful and green. This listing is for 2 trees. White Pines are large evergreen trees that are planted for wildlife habitat, wood production, windbreaks, and as ornamentals or Christmas trees. Squirrels, rabbits, birds, and other animals eat the seeds, and many species of birds also use the trees as nesting sites. It is also an attractive ornamental, with long needles and a pyramid shape. It grows in full sun or partial shade, and does well in moist or dry soils. Details: Easily transplanted needles - 5" height - 50' - 80' spread - 20' - 40' very fast growth rate - up to 2' per year zones 3 - 8 This not a new seedling! This is a small tree, at least 1 ½ years old, with an established root system and a strong woody stem. You will receive one bare root tree packed in moist paper towels and secured in a plastic bag (see photo). The plant in the photo is not the exact plant you will receive, but it will be similar in size. Plant out or in a container immediately upon receipt and water as necessary. There is no guarantee of the successful growth of any tree, but proper care will ensure survival. These trees are grown outside, not inside a greenhouse. The may have slight insect or weather damage to the leaves, but all trees are healthy and already acclimated to outside conditions. I will ship trees on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of every week, so your tree will be shipped the next M/T/W following your purchase. This is to try to reduce shipping times as much as possible and to avoid the tree being left in a warehouse over the weekend. If you are unhappy with your tree upon arrival, please e-mail me a photo of the damaged tree so that we can discuss a possible remedy. Certain states restrict entry of some tree species. If you live in a state that does not allow entry of this species, please do not order it. No shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.
