This variety's delicate pink flowers are semi-double, with ten petals rather than the five that many cherry blossoms have, giving them an unusual frilly look.As the blossoms start to fall, the green summer foliage fills in, as well as small black berries. The Autumn Cherry's canopy spreads in a classic cherry shape as it matures. A full-grown specimen makes an elegant shade tree in the height of summer.The Autumn Cherry isn't done yet. The tree blooms occasionally throughout the summer and fall, and even through mild winters!
