Tree ferns are excellent for shaded nooks and under the canopies of larger shade trees. They add a decidedly lush exotic character to any space, be it under eaves or in atriums. Give them plenty of room overhead and combine with large-leafed foliage plants and very fiery colored exotic flowers. Thrives in warm, humid environments with humus-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil and dappled shade. Protect from harsh afternoon sun exposures in very hot regions.
