Fragrant and Alluring Evergreen Climber White, pinwheel-shaped flowers emerge in spring, against a backdrop of textured glossy green leaves. These gorgeous blooms fill the air with a sweet, honey-like aroma that will excite your senses and draw you into the garden time and again. Star Jasmine is considered a night-bloomer, with blossoms opening up in the early evening when temperatures cool down. To create an air of romance on your deck or terrace, plant the jasmine in containers where trailing vines can gently spill over the side. For a spectacular accent, use Star Jasmine to conceal the upright support posts of your covered patio, or add some depth to a perennial bed by training it to climb a wire trellis. To hide an unsightly retaining wall with style and finesse, create a planter bed and allow Star Jasmine to cascade gracefully down the wall. Consider planting this vine on an open pergola frame to create an irresistible, shaded retreat. With Star Jasmine, you can transform your outdoor living space into an exotic vacation destination. Hardy and robust, this flowering beauty appreciates full sun to partial shade and will tolerate high heat as well as temperatures as low as 10 degrees. Adaptable to most soil types, Star Jasmine is moderately drought-tolerant and practically maintenance-free. It's so versatile by nature, you can even grow Star Jasmine as a houseplant, so don't hesitate to grow it in containers if you live in cold northern regions. This trailing vine is extremely popular and sells out quickly. Order yours today, while supplies last. NOTE: This product is specific to Arizona. Find Star Jasmine available in other states. Planting & Care 1. Planting: Before planting your Jasmine in the ground, moisten the roots and set it in the shade for a few days. When youre ready to plant, place your Jasmine in full sun to partial shade, avoiding deep shade (4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily). Although clay, loam and sandy soil can accommodate your tree, try to choose a location with well-draining, slightly acidic soil. Dig a hole about as deep as the root ball and about twice as wide. Set the plant in the hole, spreading out the roots over the surface of the hole. Fill the hole in with a mixture of the original soil and any additional topsoil required. Eliminate any air pockets that may have formed by tamping down firmly. Water the area until the top 3 inches of soil becomes moist but not soaked. 2. Watering: Water regularly in the first year after planting. Wait until the top 3 inches of soil dry out before watering again. 3. Fertilizing: Apply a complete fertilizer in early spring such as 10-10-10, preferably one with slow-release nitrogen and follow the directions on the packaging. | 5 Gallon - Star Jasmine - Fragrant and Alluring Evergreen Climber See how our 30 Day Happy & Healthy Gaurantee compares to Garden Goods Direct, Lowe's.
